My name is Lucie and I live with my husband, 3 older children and our Chocolate Labrador, Cookie. I have always been passionate about dogs and have years' of experience owning and working with our 4 legged friends. As a dog owner myself, I understand the worry owners face when they need to leave their much loved companion and how important it is to know that they are going to be happy and well looked after in your absence.
I am licenced and insured for Home Dog Boarding and DBS checked. I provide peace of mind that your dog will be loved and cared for like our own and have the most amazing time during their stay. You will receive updates and photographs so you will never feel you are missing out on the fun.
I achieved a Distinction in Advanced Canine Behaviour & Training and am qualified in Canine Reiki. I have also enjoyed studying Biochemistry of the Canine Brain, Evolution of Canine Behaviour, Canine Aggression, Canine Learning Theory, The Human - Dog Relationship and Separation Anxiety, Canine Pharmacology and Reactivity in Dogs. I have also worked in a local rescue centre helping to rehabilitate dogs for rehoming and have taught levels 1, 2 and 3 at obedience classes. I am qualified in Canine First Aid.
I have mixed my love of hairy hounds and the great outdoors to offer a reliable, fun and caring service.
Your dog will be welcomed into our home, have the freedom to play in our garden and enjoy beautiful country walks with their friends. They can relax in one of our comfy dog beds or in the warmer months have a snooze in a sunny spot in the garden. At night time, your dog will sleep in our warm home all safe and secure, dreaming of tomorrows fun.
We often bake nutritious pup cakes and biscuits for a little special treat and in the summer we have dog ice cream. Please let us know if it is your dog's birthday during their stay as we do love to spoil them.
We have been looking after dogs in our home for over 5 years and many have been regular visitors throughout this time. We are blessed with the same amazing dogs staying again and again, either for their annual holiday and/or day care and short-breaks. This means your dog will often be reunited with a friend they have met from a previous visit. We really do become like a second home.
We offer a complimentary trial day prior to confirming any bookings. This gives you and your dog the opportunity to meet us and allows them to familiarise themselves with our home and surroundings. It also gives us the opportunity to assess their behaviour and suitability for home boarding to ensure they are going to be happy and comfortable with us.
We only have one new dog, or dogs from the same household, on a trial day at any one time so we can really get to know each dog individually. To book a trial day please email or telephone Lucie on 07411 452313
